March On’s Statement on International Women’s Day

This International Women’s Day we celebrate the work of the women who came before us. The trailblazers. The dissidents. The women who, in the face of sometimes overwhelming adversity, fought for our right to vote, our right to choose, and our right to be equal members of society.

Today we salute our sisters around the world who stand up to social and racial injustice in all its forms, no matter the source. Who lift up the voices of the marginalized and speak out for the rights of others, even at personal cost to themselves. And we support the women across this country who are working in their communities to bring about real change at the systemic level.

This International Women’s Day, we take strength from the millions who marched with us in solidarity for a better future. Who will fight with us in the days ahead for a country where misogyny, racism, anti-Semitism, and hate in all its forms will be a thing of the past. We are proud to march with all of you toward a better future as we turn the power of this movement toward direct political action, and ensure our representation in Congress is willing to take on this fight with us.
