Since Hillary announced her candidacy for POTUS, the expression “When women run, women win” has been seen all over social media, on shirts, bumper stickers, and at the forefront of our hearts. For the last few years, we’ve been fighting to make this a reality.
When both Amy Klobuchar and Elizabeth Warren withdrew from the race last week, we saw our hope for a major win for womxn dwindle.
We started off with six women candidates. They pushed through the male-dominated media, the constant attacks and the belittling of genius policy. They did this because they collectively believe that our country can do better for all of us, and they know that the hardest journey is the journey to “first.”
