Thursday, February 7th at 9am [210 W. Temple, Department 43]: Melina’s next court hearing. (Wear your organization or Black Lives Matter gear!)
Tuesdays at 9am [100 W. 1st Street]: Black Lives Matter and ally groups have a weekly presence at Los Angeles Police Commission meetings. It was at these meetings that Melina was targeted. Larger presence brings greater safety.
Wednesdays from 4-6pm [211 W. Temple]: There is a regular demonstration in front of District Attorney Jackie Lacey’s office, centering the families of those killed by police. Nearly 450 people have been killed by police in Los Angeles County and Jackie Lacey has filed charges in only one case.
Second Sunday of each month at 7pm: Attend monthly Black Lives Matter meetings held. Locations rotate.
